A Slackers Guide to ProBolts for an Italjet Dragster

I decided to write this to help save people a bit of time when getting anodised bolts to tart up your Dragster! Its an easy job to do although to work out what you need to order you have to take each bolt out and measure it so you know what to replace it with! This can take a while so I thought I would save you the trouble and put the sizes of the ones I have already replaced here for you to use. Hopefully this will save you some time and hassle.

Few tips before you start:
Right then, here goes:

Engine Casing Bolts

Please note that the hugger bolts may be slightly different if you dont have a crappy PM carbon hugger like mine :D Also when buying bolts for the black cover at the front don't get ones much longer than the 8mm ones I'm using as they will grind against the front pulley if you use longer ones!

Grab Handles

When taking these out remeber that behind these bolts there are rubber washers and nuts that will need holding in place. You can either take the pillion seat/cover off and try and stick a spanner down there to hold them or just take the panels off completely!

Footplates

The back 2 bolts on the footplates are shorter than the front ones. I have used Allen Key Socket Cap bolts as I couldn't get fairing bolts that were long enough.

Brake Levers
You don't have to use titanium for the brake levers, I'm just a fairly cautious person!

Switch Gear
The 4 Bolts are to replace the screws in the back of them, the one M5 bolt is for where the throttle cable goes into the bottom of the right hand switchgear.

Wheel Bolts

These need to be Titanium as Aluminium is not strong enough to hold the wheels on.

I will update this gude when I replace more of them myself!

Where to get the bolts:

Pro-Bolt This is where all my bolts came from, good service and I have been impressed with everything so far.
Hyperbolt haven't used them myself but I know plenty of people who recommend them.
